The Pages section in GoEdit is located in the navigation menu of your Control Panel. It allows you to manage the pages of your website, create new ones, and configure various settings for each page.
Creating a New Page
To create a new page:
- Click the Add Page button.
If the “Add Page” button is missing, and you’re unable to add new pages or see the Blog tab in your admin panel, it might indicate that you’re using a GoEdit Landing Page template. In this case, you can upgrade to a full-featured website, which will allow you to add more pages and use the blog feature. For more details on this upgrade, follow the instructions provided in the platform.
Page Name and URL
When creating a new page, you must specify both the Page Name and the URL within the designated fields. These settings are essential for your website’s navigation and SEO.
Managing Existing Pages
- Entering Pages: Use the drop-down list to navigate through existing pages by selecting them from their titles.
- Duplicating Pages: To duplicate a page, simply click the Duplicate button. This will create an exact copy of the selected page.
- Deleting Pages: If you need to remove a page, click the Delete button. However, the Home page cannot be deleted.
Sorting Pages
You can sort your pages using three methods:
- Creation Date – Organise pages by the date they were created.
- Last Modified Date – Sort by the last time each page was modified.
- Alphabetical Order – Sort pages alphabetically by their title.
Search Functionality
The Search feature enables you to find specific pages quickly. To use it:
- Enter the page title in the search field.
- The system will display all matching results beneath the field.
Home Page Settings
You can apply the Home Page status to any page (except the current Home page) by selecting it and clicking the Set as Home button.
Editing Page Content
To edit the content of any page:
- Select the required page from the list.
- Click on the page’s content to access the editing area.
Once you’re in the editing mode, you will see the Blocks or Widgets tabs on the left-hand side, depending on your template type. These tabs allow you to manage and customise the layout and content of your page.
Setting a Page as Home
If you wish to designate a different page as your website’s Home Page:
- Select the page from the list.
- Click the Set as Home button.
This will update your site’s default landing page to the newly selected page.
