Go Edit Media Library – File Properties

User Guides

File Properties

Each file in the Media Library has its own set of properties that provide detailed information about the file, such as type, size, author, date, and dimensions.

  • File URL: Displays the file’s location on the server.
  • File Name: Reflects the file’s title as stored on the server. Changing the file name in the Media Library will affect its display in the library but not the physical file name on the server.
  • Image Thumbnails: Shows the thumbnails of selected images in the Media Library.

Default Title and Alt Text

  • Default Title: You can change the image’s title, which is useful for SEO. The title is displayed when users hover over the image, and search engines can index it.
  • Default Alt Text: This text will appear in place of the image if the browser settings block image previews. To update either the Default Title or Alt Text, enter the necessary details in the corresponding fields and click Save.
